Profits generated for an ISP per month - per accounts over 1 year

The following are several tables showing the profits that an ISP benefits from by being listed on CanadianISP.
We've shown several different levels of accounts per month to show the differences between ISPs who are more and less successful in receiving new accounts per month from CanadianISP.
While profits per DSL line can vary widely from ISP to ISP, depending on their business plan and value added services, the two profit levels shown here are $2.00 per account per month and $5.00 per account per month.
Changing these numbers to reflect your own profit margins is a simple math excercise :)
How we came up with these numbers:
Over the years of running CanadianISP, we've talked to a lot of ISPs across Canada about what benefits they find they achieve by listing themselves on CanadianISP. For ISPs who use the free listing, serve at least one urban or suburban area and have a professional website that displays prices and policies clearly, we've heard that the average number of accounts that come from CanadianISP to them is between 4-10 new accounts per month.
ISPs who choose to make their listings easier to find and/or remember on CanadianISP, who tend to be in the top twenty ISPs viewed by consumers each month, tend to see from 10-20 new accounts per month.
The last rows of data, showing 37 new accounts per month, is based on the standard advertising assumption of a 4% conversion rate: That is, out of all the people who actually visit an ISP's main site to check them out, four percent of them will decide to sign up for their services. The actual number 37 was taken on the average number of click throughs for January, 2006, from the top ten ISPs on CanadianISP and then four percent of that number (The average number of clickthroughs was 923 for the top ten ISPs. The average number of detailed views - that is, users who clicked on the ISPs name to see the detailed information within the CanadianISP site was 1823 for January, 2006 per ISP in the top ten)
These profit numbers do not show or take into account any add-on sales that the ISP may make to their users over the course of their relationship: Those profit numbers are, of course, above and beyond what is suggested below.
